Bridgnorth CFR’s chosen as Bridgnorth WI Charity of the Year – March 2016
We are pleased, proud, and very grateful to announce that Bridgnorth Community First Responder Scheme has been chosen as local charity of the year by the Bridgnorth WI.
Many thanks to their members for this valuable support, and acknowledgment of the work of our volunteers.
Sainsbury’s Bridgnorth Collection Dates
Our year as Sainbury’s Bridgnorth Local Charity of the Year is soon coming to an end, and we have confirmation of further dates when our members will be present at the store fundraising, and on hand to talk about the work of Community First Responders in the ambulance service.
Please call by and meet volunteers from across the Bridgnorth District on the weekend of Friday 29th April, Saturday 30th, and Sunday 1st May.
Donation from The Dave Turnock Society – 9th February 2015
Tonight, we offer our sincere and grateful appreciation of a very generous donation of £750 from The Dave Turnock Society, who are a Golf Society that raises funds to support local and national good causes.
This extremely kind and generous gesture has covered the insurance costs for our scheme vehicle for the next twelve months.

Seasons Greetings…. 21st December
Bridgnorth Community First Responders would like to sincerely thank each of our supporters, donors, and sponsors, for their contributions towards our organisation throughout 2014. Your support has been truly fantastic.
We wish everyone a peaceful, enjoyable, and Merry Christmas, and a healthy and prosperous New Year to follow.
Donation from Bridgnorth Lions
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Bridgnorth Lions for their kind donation of £222, which we are using to purchase a Tympanic Membrane Ear Thermometer, and to replace a tired and tatty Kit Bag. We are proud to have worked closely with the Lions over the years, specifically with the “Message In A Bottle” campaign which successfully led to many household fridges now containing important social and medical information about the residents. This information may be the only source of vital information to those attending a medical emergency.
Introducing the first official pictures of the scheme vehicle…. 7th November
So, here it is…..our Honda CRV. Once again, we express our grateful thanks to all of our supporters for their generous contributions towards the purchase of this vehicle for our organisation. This would not have been possible without such support. Special mention must go to Bridgnorth Aluminium, Ruskin Air Management, and Holben Automotive.
Scheme vehicle hits the road… – 15th October
Our scheme vehicle will be in use for its first operational shift this evening. Whilst there are still a few things we would like to add to it, and the sponsors logos are still being manufactured by the sign-writers, there is now no reason for our volunteers to not use the car whilst on duty.
The vehicle is not a “blue light” car, but has livery identifying it as an ambulance vehicle. To ensure we are able to respond to emergency calls straight away, whichever member of our team is on duty will have the car with them, rather than wasting valuable time having to collect it from its base en-route.
This development of our organisation would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our sponsors, the hard work of our members in their fundraising efforts, and most recently the support of Bridgnorth Fire Station. Grateful thanks again to all of these people, who will be highlighted in the press and on our pages here over the coming weeks.
Look out for photos on here and our Facebook page once we officially launch the finished vehicle.
Scheme vehicle purchased… – 4th October
We are pleased to announced that we have now completed the purchase of a “used” Honda CRV for our members to use whilst “on call” to attend emergency calls. The vehicle has been liveried and kitted, and should be in use by the end of the first week of October. (Until then, our members will be continuing to use their own vehicles to respond in).
We still have some planned fundraising events to come, which we will be publicising nearer the time, to help us fund a few more items to increase the benefit gained from having this dedicated vehicle available. In the meantime we would like to mention our appreciation for the main contributors and supporters without who this purchase would not have been possible….
Bridgnorth Aluminium, Ruskin Air Management, Specsavers, Bridgnorth Tyre Centre, The Salopian Dudes, The Shakespeare Inn, and Holben Automotive.
Look out for a local press launch in the near future, along with pictures of the finished vehicle on here and our Facebook page. If you see us around town, please give us a wave!
Grateful thanks to “Salopian Dudes” as they perform “gig” for Bridgnorth CFR’s – 22nd September
We would like to offer our sincere appreciation to the “Salopian Dudes”, Steve and staff at the Shakespeare Inn Bridgnorth, and all of the customers who attended the fundraising gig on Saturday 20th September, and kindly donated to our funds. A fantastic total of £167.95 was added to our coffers, during a night of superb rocking blues from the Dudes. These guys are fantastic, and well worth a look and listen. Please check out their website for upcoming gigs in your area.
